ASANA

Asana is an independant musician living in Heanor, Derbyshire, in the UK.

He was the keyboard player with the 80's band Fatal Charm, who released the double A side single 'Paris' / 'Christine'. Fatal Charm toured the UK in 1982 supporting OMD and Ultravox.

Asana went on to work in commercial theatre as Musical Director. In 1995, he released his first electronic music CD, Shrine, to great critical acclaim. This was followed up with the equally popular Trikuti. Both albums were released on the Neu Harmony record label.

During this time he started playing live, whilst also working on and releasing several other solo albums independently, such as: Live at Jodrell Bank, Enshrined, Chakra (cassette), Psychoactive, Pure, and Dark State. In addition to this, he worked in collaboration with Tim Darbyshire (Lightform) under the name Cerulean, releasing the albums This Level, Earth, This Level Earth Remaster, Second Level, Earth, Lifestream , Ectoplasm and Conservation.

In 1999, electronic musician Bekki Williams asked him to remix one of her tracks, 'The Talisman' from her album Shadow Of The Wind, and a new collaboration was born. Later, he co-wrote the track Aphrodite's Lament with her on the remastered version of her album Elysian Fields. All of Bekki's music is available on the AD Music record label.

Asana is proud to announce the release of Occulture, which represents the culmination of several years of recuperating from illness and acquiring a state of the art recording studio on reaching 'retirement' age. He will never retire, however - music will always be in his blood, and several more projects are in the planning stage. first ASANA EP vourdalak released 31/10/25.
